21 Months!

Hello, everyone!

I'm 21 months old today. Mommy said we're going to have to stop counting in months soon. It's starting to be a lot of months to count! That means I'm getting big. It makes mommy and daddy teary eyed when you say that.

I'm learning so much about our big world. Did you know how many things there are to explore out there?! One of my new favorite things is the lawnmower. I like to ride them over and over again. Daddy hopes I like the lawnmower when I'm a teenager. He says I'll have "responsibilities"...whatever that means.

I've discovered how fun it is to run and hide somewhere. Mommy doesn't think this game is very funny, but I think it's hilarious! I like to hide in cabinets and in closets. I laugh hysterically when someone finds me!

I think my cousin Mackenly is one of the funniest people EVER. She was the first person to ever make me belly laugh and I still belly laugh at almost everything she does. She likes to hide with me, especially under the sink. We really like to play in the sprinkler together, play with the toy plates and cups, and to play with the farm set. I'm so glad to have a cousin my size! We're getting a new cousin soon. Mommy said that her Aunt Kelly and Uncle David flew very far away to get their little girl from a place called China. They're coming home soon and I'm really excited to meet her! I can show her all of my favorite hiding spots!

Food wise, I've discovered that I really like fish sticks. And ketchup. And I still LOVE fruit. It's so yummy! Mommy sneaks vegetables on my plate even though I don't touch them. When will she ever learn?! Silly mommy. Juice makes my tummy hurt sometimes, so I only get some every now and then. I love my milk in the mornings and evenings. I like to stand by the refridgerator and yell "milk!"

I still love to look at books. There's so many neat pictures in there! I like to point out the pictures and name them. I really like to point out pictures of animals. I also really like my Mr Potato Head toys. There's so many interesting parts! Speaking of parts, my favorite game is to label all the little parts on my body. I can show you my eyes, eyebrows, nose, mouth, teeth, cheeks, hair, head, ears, neck, arms, belly, belly button, shoulders, elbows, knees, feet, and toes!

I've become very interested in that big white bowl in the bathroom. Mommy and Daddy call it a "potty." I'm not quite ready yet, but I like to sit on the potty sometimes. Mommy says that one day I won't have to wear diapers anymore!

One of Brayden's favorite activities is to....sweep. A mother's dream come true! I don't expect it to last, but it's pretty darn adorable for now. :)

Examiner

I recently signed up to write articles for the Examiner. You choose to write about a certain topic (mine is Early Childhood) and you're paid based on how many subscriptions you get, how many people leave comments, and many people you refer to write about other topics. She's almost here!

After four long years of waiting, my Aunt, Uncle, and cousins are finally getting ready to travel to China to pick up their daughter/sister. We can't wait to meet sweet little Eva. Please pray for them as they travel and for Eva as she meets her new family and adjusts to life in a new country. This sweet little girl has been loved by so many for so long!

Happy Father's Day to the sweetest daddy. Our son will never doubt how much his daddy loves him, and I am forever grateful for that.

Children's Museum Fun

I think it's about time for update, huh? We completely skipped May, blogging wise. Oops! You know the saying, time flies! So anyway, here's our May recap:

* Kristen turned a year older.
* The Bellon's are settling into our new house (and yet, there are still boxes everywhere. We're apparently not very good at "settling.")
* Mother's Day was lovely. :)
* Brayden's new thing is to push things around the house. For hours and hours, it seems like.
* We celebrated our anniversary! <3>

Ok, now that that's out of the way, on to the fun pictures! :) Yesterday we took Brayden to the local Children's Museum and met up with Aunt Kelsey and Mackenly. Fun was had by all!

The drums were a huge hit. His shirt appropriately says, "Let's Rock." :)

Summer is officially upon us in SWLA (although temperature-wise I suppose it's been summer for a month and half now). Unfortunately, the term "summer" doesn't quite mean what it used to due to full time jobs, but we hope to take advantage of a few summer activities, such as swimming, snow cones, swimming, relaxation, and swimming. And share the pictures, of course. :)
